What an incredible experience!! To be able to
share this with one of my sons was truly a dream
come true! Being my first trip to Africa, I was not
sure what to expect. It was beyond my imagination. Top
notch game, hunting, people food, accommodations,
hospitality-you name it!!! WE HAD A BLAST!!! Thanks to
Marita, Mark, Adrian, Hannalie, Johannes+Paulie
for their hard work and expertise. And especially,
thanks to Uncle Wiets for his dream commitment to
bring such a Wonderful place to fruition! Thanks a
million to all! I will treasure our memories here for

First time in Africa Awesome! Had a wonderful time in
this magnificent piece of God’s creation. Great
cooking, hospitality and family atmosphere. Mark &
Adrian were outstanding PH’S. They are not only very
good at what they do, but have a passion for hunting
that is contagious. Had 2 nice bow kills-Blue wildebeest
and Eland. The first on the first morning and Eland on
the last evening-very thrilling. Had a couple of nice
stalks with Springbuck,Gemsbuck, Blesbuck.I got to
observe some excellent tracking skills as well.
This was a long time dream that Wiets Safaris helped

WOWEE!!!!! What an incredible experience I had at Wiets
for the past 10 days. This was been a dream come true.
The opportunity to bow hunt and rifle such a variety of
game in Africa. It was such a joy to know all of you.
All farm persons was great at their job and so unique
gifted in the way they would relate to us foreigners. I
just want say thanks for being you…for example Adrian
(being an awesome PH), Mark (patience and great PH),
Hanalie (great cook and food) Marita(relations and
general office gal) and Freek(funny and fixer dude)and
all the others that I did not get to know, as well but
did such a great job.
Special thanks to Paulie who can track better than a
pack of hound dogs!!!!!!
Someday I will return in the mean time I will tell many

Bob’s!! Hanalie was great fun to spend time with and she
can cook!!! I just can’t say enough about what a
great tracker Paulie is, he truly has a gift. We really

1st time to Africa. I had no idea what I was in for.
Seeing all the different animals were amazing. The
second day when Tom and I went to the top of the hill
over looking the whole property, it was truly a
wonderful picture. Giraffe, rhino, heartbeest,
wildebeest, springbuck, blesbuck, gemsbuck, birds. All
together near the water 100’s animals.
Mark & Adrian did a great job of getting on our animals
and making sure everything we needed was taken care off.
All the crew worked very hard and together. I think this
is a very well run operation. I know next trip I want to
bring my wife and family to experience South Africans
beauty.

What an experience!!!!!!After hunting my 1ste day, most
of the guys went of to a second park and I stayed behind
to continue my hunt here. That morning our guide took me
to the top of one of the hills to glance down and look
for animals. What I saw was awesome, animals everywhere
anything you dream of seeing!!!!
By the way the hunting was awesome. The people were
fantastic. I had a great time.

“This is my first hunting trip outside of PA. This place
is beautiful and I loved it dearly. The group I was with
was just my dad and grandpa. Between me and my dad we
took 12 animals. My first animal was at a salt blind,
and it was with my crossbow – springbuck. After that I
took a Blesbuck at about 120-150 yrds. Then I took a Red
Hartebeest at about 50-70 yards. A grey Duiker at 60-70
yrds, and then a Gemsbuck from the top of the hill at
60-75 yrds. My final animal was the hardest to get a
hold of – Jackal! The PH is the best you will ever meet,
he will work his butt off, so treat him with respect.
The food is the best!

"WOW !!! What a diverse range of animals and unbelievable
Free Range - The endless running of the Blesbuck - the springing of the
Springbuck .... The impressive primitive nature of the Square Lip Rhino,
the ripple of the quilted skin on the giraffe as it lopes away and
snorkles its head above the canopy to see what has broken the peacefull
existence it so much enjoys. I will never forget the roar and the grace
of the White Lions, - or the radio squelch "Marita, marita, marita" - "Palie,palie,palie"
- I will hear them all in my sleep for a long time - and remember the
wave of the grain in the wind - the kudu, zebra, lechwe , etc. Ah Sweet
Africa .... I will come back to you again !!

You people know how to run a safari camp. To Elsa: our
Excellent Chef, we loved the food, y're the best. To
Ruan, y're on hell of a PH. You not only found what I
was here to hunt, but everyone went into SCI Record's
Book. Can't wait to hunt with you again and sit by the
fire having refreshments and telling stories. Paulley
driver and tracker even though we did not give him much
to track, we harvested the Springbuck (37"), Red
Hartebeest (69"), Black Wildebeest (78") and the Blue
Wildebeest (86" - with a 29" spread).
We think half the animals in South Africa are on the
plains of the Wiets Safaris Camp!
This is an outstanding reserve with exceptional quality
and quantity of animals found in South Africa. To the
owners and staff, you should all be proud of what you
are doing for hunters like us.
This is an AFRICAN HUNTERS PARADISE!
The only issue we had with your safari camp we had to
leave; but we will be back very soon.

WOW! This trip was amazing! I have never hunted this
many animals on any of my safaris. Elsa was an amazing
cook + all of her meals were 5 star material. Our ph,
ruan, was patient with me + was always helping me with
the right shot. Thousands of animals on the concession
made this trip even more memorable, i really hope that i
can come soon to do another great hunt at wiets.

Rhino Green Hunt
The most exciting heart pounding, at times scary, and
most inspiring experience,
everyone was fabulous - all worked together. Emma (the
vet) was especially fun, informative and geniality
excited by her work.

Gidday mate!!
From your aussie friends down under or should i say next
door. We have cherished every moment spent at wiets
safari ranch with our ph ruaan. Marita, freek and elsa
made camp a lovely family atmosphere, sprinkled with
professionalism, great food, chats and exciting hunting.
What a surprise paradise our fist days drive with ruaan
and phali. We were spoilt spotting the three African
littlies... Baby zebra, baby giraffe and baby rhino. We
were totally mesmerized by the excellent range of wild
life amongst the vast African plains and sands. It is a
credit to you. So much for not hunting the first day...
The boys were only sighting in their riffles and we
returned with two spectacular impala.... Is mine bigger
or yours???? Stories once again the evening
conversation.
All heads shot were of first class quality and each
animal hunted provided a fantastic hunting experience
and “We ‘ll be back” like Nunga Nunga’s boomerang.
When the sun sets on the waterhole nothing is surer than
ma Rhino and her calf sneaking in, a camp fire, beer and
a yummy braai.
Lion feeding and fierce roars left our hearts pounding
and our legs shaking….. even stuffed up a few photo
moments trying to get away from teeth and claws. We
thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful campaign sunset
farewell with Wiets, Hetta and the gang topping off our
trip.
Thank you, this was definitely our home away from home.
